Al-ko Kober brake shoes for one axle. The 1637 kit replaces the brake shoes, springs and cover plates in two drums.
Al-ko brakes can be found on most makes of caravan and trailers manufactured from 1984. Caravan makes such as Swift, Bailey, Lunar, Sterling, Swift, Coachman, Bessacarr, Compass and Elddis as well as trailers such as Brian James, Ifor Williams, Snipe, West Mersea and Indespension have used Al-ko brakes. Fitted to with either a single axle up to 1000kg or tandem axle up to 2000kg (two kits will be required to replace all four brakes).
Al-ko recommends that brake shoes on the same axle are replaced at the same time to maintain even braking.

These brake shoes are for a 160mm Diameter Drum with a 35mm Brake Shoe Width.
Basic Kit Includes:
2 x 384.296 Brakes Shoe, 2 x 384.481 Brake Shoe
4 x Cover plate, 4 x Shoe retaining spring.
2 x Tension spring
Note: Euro hub nuts (not castellated nuts) must be replaced as they have been designed so that when torqued up the thread locks on. When removed the thread is damaged and cannot be re-used.
These brake shoes are suitable for Alko Axles with the following eti numbers (as stamped on the axle plate):
